Our Story:  A Higher Standard in Homebuilding 

For more than twenty years, Mike Baldwin worked as a real estate consultant specializing in residential properties and representing local custom builders. Throughout those years, he saw firsthand how outdated processes and fragmented systems often created unnecessary challenges for clients. Mike continually shared ideas to streamline communication, enhance transparency, and modernize the homebuilding journey—but despite his efforts, meaningful change rarely followed.

Meanwhile, the builders he represented increasingly depended on him to guide clients, manage expectations, coordinate details, and solve problems as if he were a true partner in the construction process. It became clear that clients were naturally turning to Mike because he was the one consistently helping them navigate every step—from evaluating land and designing plans to organizing selections and overseeing progress.

The turning point came when a long-time friend asked a simple question: “Why don’t you just build our home yourself?”

That moment clarified what Mike had known for years: he wasn’t just supporting the process—he was already leading it. With deep experience in land, design, development, and construction management, and a commitment to providing a better, more seamless homebuilding experience, he set out to raise the standard.

In 2013, Mike founded Atlantic Homes Company, driven by a vision to integrate real estate, development, design, and construction under one roof. What began as a bold step forward has now evolved into a refined system focused solely on custom homes and move-in-ready residences—built with care, transparency, and a genuine dedication to the clients we serve.
